Sri Balaji rice factory was established in 1980 (12/12/1980) in the district of Bellary (Karnataka). The whole plant is spread over 5 hectares of land. It was the first modern rice mill (Binny) in the whole district. It is a Pioneer in Single Boiled Rice (Ponni) that is marketed specifically for Tamil Nadu. It also specializes in Double Boiled Rice which is marketed mainly to Mangalore and Bangalore. In 1995, Induss Dryer and Cethar Vessles FBC Boiler were installed. In 2001, new Milltec Whiteners and Polishers were also installed. The year 2008 witnessed the commissioning of Buhler’s automated factory today . On May 23, 2012, the first factory outlet factory started so that local people can buy rice from us directly, without any intermediaries between them.

In 2015, Buhler Sortex S6 , a color sorter designed specifically for rice installed, makes it the first Rice Plant in Karnataka to follow this award-winning color sorting technology.

SBRM filed a certification of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 , and was certified in 2011, making it the first Rice Plant in Karnataka certified by both certifications.

History

Sri Balaji Rice Factory begins under the leadership of Sri Lankan Leader Jugal Kishore Sarda who is said to be the pioneer of the Rice factory in all surrounding districts of Bellary. He was in the Rice Industry field since the early 1960s and # x27; S and was regarded as one of the most experienced and dynamic industrialists of the era.
His second son, Late JKMuralidhar Sarda was the main force behind the beginning of the Fate of Balaji in 1980. At that time, he was the only person who had the courage to complete the big industry and work hard. With discipline and dedication to establish industry.

JKGovindnarayan Sarda (now Managing Partner), the youngest son of Late Sri Jugal Kishore Sarda, completed his B.Com and joined Sri Balaji Rice Mill in 1984 and worked with his father in various grinding activities Rice. He took the initiative to install new modern dryers and boilers in 1995. Once again in 2001, the rice milling section was modernized with whiteners and the latest Milltec polishers. In 2008, after conducting an extensive survey, the Buhler Factory automated 7-8 TPH, along with Sortex, 40 Ton SKF Stainless Steel Double Dryer was installed. In 2015, SBRM is the first Rice Plant in Karnataka to install Sortex S6 , the world’s most advanced Color Sorter for Rice, which further improves the quality of the final rice.
G. Prashanth Kumar Sarda, son of Mr. J.K.Govindnarayan Sarda, completed his MBA in 2007 and has since helped his father in various rice milling activities.

G Sagar Sarda, the younger son of J K Govindnarayan Sarda, also completing his MBA and taking an active part in various Rice Mill activities.
